Join The Red Caps 2022
The Red Caps is a five horse syndicate which offers fantastic value and lots of racing, stable visits and events through until the end of October 2022.
All five horses are trained by Grand National and Cheltenham Festival winning trainer, Dr Richard Newland. They will run from May until October.
A share in the syndicate costs just £2,450 to cover all costs. Members receive all of the owners' prizemoney won by the horses.
"The Red Caps is a brilliant way to enjoy racehorse ownership. An insight into the sport and great fun. Last year we were pinching ourselves every time one of the horses won. Amazing!" Jon Howe, Syndicate Member
Galata Bridge is our first winner for The Red Caps 2022
Mr Woody wins on his chasing debut
Galata Bridge
Bought last year for 75,000gns he ran at Royal Ascot in June off a flat rating of 96. He then went hurdling where he readily won a maiden hurdle. A high class horse who won easily at Huntingdon in May and can give us a lot of fun this summer.
Hypnotik
Purchased from the Arqana sales in November, this four year old has won over £30,000 in prizemoney since November 2020. With a BHA rated of around 130 he looks a very exciting horse for our syndicate.
Mr Woody
Finished 2nd of 15 in a very strong hurdle race at Uttoxeter in May. This lightly races seven year old looks well handicapped and is set to give us a lot of fun.
Captain Cobajay
Won two races in August and will be going chasing for The Red Caps in 2022. He'll enjoy the summer conditions and will benefit from a move to Dr Richard Newland's yard.

He's an exciting novice hurder for The Red Caps. He is by Milan and out of Sarah Quay and is very closely related to bumper/very smart 2m6f-3m1f hurdle/chase winner Kings Palace (rated 152) and point winner Ronnie Lawson.
Dr Richard Newland is one of the most outstanding trainers in Britain.
He constantly has among the best strike rates of any British and Irish trainer with an incredible 20% strike rate over the past five seasons. He looks set for another fantastic season this year.
Richard has won many of the top national hunt races including The Imperial Cup, The Coral Cup and The Grand National.
What is particularly remarkable is that he has achieved success with horses that he's picked up for very modest prices at the sales.
Richard treats every horse as an individual and gives each horse a specific training programme from his new purpose build yard. Every horse goes out into the field each day, something Richard considers vital to maintaining the horses' health and happiness.
